Extracting Pages

You can extract individual pages from a PDF to create a separate PDF. When you extract a page, you choose whether the page should remain in the original PDF or be removed from it. When the extraction process completes, the newly created PDF opens in its own instance of CCH ProSystem fx Funnel.

1. Open the PDF in CCH ProSystem fx Funnel.

1. Click Open on the PDF Viewer ribbon.
2. Navigate to and select the PDF.
3. Click Open.

2. Do one of the following:

• Extract a single page.

• Right-click a page thumbnail in the navigation pane, and then select either Extract Page or Extract & Remove Page.
• Click the page thumbnail in the navigation pane, and then click Extract Page or Extract & Remove Page on the PDF Viewer ribbon.

• Extract multiple pages. While pressing the Ctrl key, click the thumbnail images for the pages you want to extract in the navigation pane. Then, do either of the following:

• Right-click one of the selected page thumbnails, and then select either Extract Pages or Extract & Remove Pages.
• Click either Extract Pages or Extract & Remove Pages on the PDF Viewer ribbon.

If you select Extract Page, the page remains in the original PDF as well as in the separate PDF. If you select Extract & Remove Page, the page is deleted from the original PDF.

3. Enter a file name for the extracted page.
4. Click Save.
